MONTI SIBILLINI - MARCHE, ITALY

Among the Sibillini Mountains
Among the rolling hills of the Sibillini Mountains, Contrada Contro is the visionary project of Andrea Polidoro, born in 1987, who transforms tradition into innovation. After years of study and work between Bordeaux and Montalcino, Andrea returned to the Marche region to revive old vineyards and create unique, authentic wines.
Here, ungrafted vines and ancient native varieties like Trebbiano, Malvasia di Candia, and Verdicchio are cultivated on sandy and silty soils, following a biological and respectful approach to natural cycles.
Breaking the Mold
The winemaking is essential and precise: spontaneous fermentations, no filtration, with careful attention to lunar phases.
The wines from Contrada Contro are taut and straightforward, yet with a soul capable of standing the test of time. Andrea crafts labels that tell the story of the land and local wine culture, valuing a heritage that risked being forgotten.
A winery that blends respect for the past with a vision for the future, perfect for those seeking wines that break the mold.
