SIX HECTARES IN THE LANGHE
Drink Wines, Not Labels is the personal project of Alessandro Salvano, who chose to challenge the traditional rules of winemaking by experimenting directly with his own grapes, grown in Montelupo Albese, just a few steps from Serralunga d’Alba, yet outside the official Barolo denomination.
The winery spans 6 hectares in the Langhe and produces around 24,000 bottles per year. Fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts, preserving the integrity of both fruit and terroir.
His wines
The philosophy behind the project is deeply rooted in respect for nature, with the winery following organic principles and using a minimal amount of sulfites.
The flagship wine, Outside, is made from the best Nebbiolo grapes, vinified according to Barolo protocol, yet it cannot be labeled as Barolo due to the geographic location of the vineyards. Drink Wines, Not Labels embodies a bold and independent vision of winemaking, perfect for those seeking authenticity and innovation in every glass.
