DWNL is a revolutionary project, a story that shows how the world of wine must evolve and break free from traditional frameworks. Even the label says it clearly: drink what’s in the glass, without being influenced by what’s on the outside.
From this philosophy came five “label-free” wines of great character and faithful to their terroir: Langhe Chardonnay, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Rosso, Langhe Pinot Nero, and Outside, a personal interpretation of Barolo.

Langhe Nebbiolo 2023

80% whole cluster, spontaneous fermentation for 10 days, followed by natural malolactic fermentation. Aged only in stainless steel, unfiltered and unfined. An authentic Nebbiolo: floral and fruity aromas of dog rose, red berries, and earthy nuances. Soft entry on the palate with sweet fruit, juicy tannins, and vibrant acidity for a refreshing finish.

Langhe Chardonnay 2023

Spontaneous whole-cluster fermentation for 8 days, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Aged exclusively in stainless steel, unfiltered and unfined. 100% whole-cluster vinification highlights varietal character, creating an elegant Chardonnay with notes of green tea, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, and a chalky minerality. Fresh and structured, with a long mineral finish.

Langhe Rosso 2023
Made from Dolcetto, whole-cluster fermented with spontaneous fermentation for 8 days, followed by natural malolactic fermentation. Aged in stainless steel, unfiltered and unfined. The label invites drinkers to guess the grape variety—without preconceptions. The result is an intriguing wine, dominated by fresh fruit, herbal hints, and light tannins, with a finish that balances sweetness and saline freshness.

Langhe Pinot Nero 2023

Spontaneous whole-cluster fermentation in stainless steel for 11 days, aged in stainless steel with minimal sulfur. Alessandro’s passion for Burgundy expressed his own style and palate. Aromas of juicy red fruits and chocolate, with a fine, harmonious, and persistent tannic structure.

Outside 2021
1 x 75cl – Ultra-limited production: only 155 cases!
100% Nebbiolo, vinified exactly according to Barolo regulations, but grown just outside the DOCG boundary, in Montelupo Albese, only 50 meters beyond the official zone. Vinification with 80% whole cluster and aged 38 months total, at least 18 months in large oak casks.
This means that while every Barolo production rule is respected, legally it cannot be called Barolo. The result is Outside 2021: the Manifesto of DWNL. Perhaps no wine represents the project better. It all starts from one simple question: what do those 50 meters really mean? The answer is a wine that challenges conventions and proves how “less prestigious” terroirs can deliver extraordinary wines. The real test? Tasting it blind next to 2021 Barolo to see what the glass truly reveals.
