Born in 2021 in La Morra from the passion of brothers Andrea and Stefano Mascarello, Maffrei is a young Piedmontese project that has quickly made a name for itself with wines driven by purity, energy and terroir. With just 3.6 hectares of vineyards and around 11,000 bottles produced each year, Maffrei works with some of the Langhe’s finest terroirs, including the legendary Annunziata vineyard in La Morra.
This year, the range expands to 6 wines: the iconic Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Chardonnay, the young Croce e Delizia, plus two exciting new releases: Verduno Pelaverga and, most importantly, Barolo Torriglione 2022, Maffrei’s very first vintage.

Coming from a small cru within Annunziata, Torriglione 2022 was vinified with great precision and aged for 20 months in French tonneaux, followed by 18 months in bottle. The result is a Barolo of remarkable elegance and finesse, with only 2,580 bottles produced.
