To immerse ourselves in the world of artisanal Nebbiolo, we turn to Marco Ferrari, an extraordinary winemaker in the heart of Valtellina. Rosso di Valtellina 2022
2 x 75cl
Unit price 27.00 CHF*
Always a pure Nebbiolo from his one-hectare vineyard, deliberately declassified from DOCG Valtellina Superiore to craft this extraordinary Rosso di Valtellina. Organically farmed, the vines grow at 450–550m above sea level and average 60 years in age. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel, with a 15-day maceration. After 8 months in tonneaux, the wines are bottled without fining or filtration, and all cellar work follows lunar cycles.
Production: only 2,300 bottles.
Valtellina Superiore Inferno 2021
2 x 75cl
Unit Price 44.00 CHF*
100% Nebbiolo from the Inferno Cru, organically farmed on less than one hectare at 460–490m above sea level, with vines averaging 80 years. Fermentation begins with a cold pre-maceration, followed by 18–25 days on the skins depending on the vintage, with only manual punch-downs and no pump-overs. Indigenous yeasts drive alcoholic fermentation, while malolactic occurs naturally in stainless steel before transfer to used French oak (500–600L). The wine ages 16–18 months on fine lees, then rests a further 6 months in bottle. Bottled without fining or filtration, with only minimal SO₂, and cellar operations guided by lunar cycles.
Production: only 1,900 bottles.
Valtellina Superiore Sassella 2021
2 x 75cl
Unit Price 44.00 CHF*
From a historic one-hectare vineyard over 80 years old in Sassella, characterized by sandy, gravelly, rocky soils shaped by the Adda River cutting through the granite mountains. The steep, terraced plots, supported by ancient stone walls, demand entirely manual vineyard work. Vinification is done with whole clusters, beginning with a very gentle pressing followed by fermentation and maceration lasting up to 30 days, depending on the vintage. The wine is aged for 18 months in used 500–600L barrels.
Production: no more than 700 bottles.
Products are available while supplies last and may be subject to changes in vintage and price. Final prices and availability will only be confirmed upon definitive approval by our team.
