Uncovering Isola delle Falcole and Berstin: Emanuele Graetz’s Vision for the Future of Sangiovese – A Day in the Heart of Chianti Classico
A lunch based on Fiorentina and exceptional wines
Back from our tour of Tuscany, we couldn’t miss the chance to stop in the heart of Chianti Classico to visit a dear friend: Emanuele Graetz. After a convivial lunch with on a perfect Fiorentina, naturally accompanied by his marvelous wines, Emanuele took us on a journey into the beating heart of his personal project: Isola delle Falcole, in Greve in Chianti.
Isola delle Falcole: artisanal elegance and Tuscan soul
Surrounded by breathtaking hills and sun-kissed vineyards, we had the unique opportunity to taste the incredible new vintages of Isola delle Falcole straight from the barrels. Words fail. Each sip told a story of elegance, precision, pure fruit, and extraordinary tension. Everything we look for in a great Sangiovese: persistence, verticality, and that unmistakable sense of harmony.
It’s no surprise these wines impress with every glass. Meticulous care, artisanal production, and extremely limited volumes make Isola delle Falcole a winery to watch closely. Sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay updated: every bottle is a little treasure, and demand grows year after year.
From barrels to the future: the birth of Berstin
But Emanuele saved the biggest surprise for the end of our visit. Beyond the extraordinary wines and postcard-perfect landscapes, he gave us an exclusive preview of an innovative project set to reshape the wine world: Berstin.
What is Berstin?
Berstin stands for Berry + Skin + Terroir. It’s “a patented grape infusion designed to transform the drinking experience. Not a wine, not a juice, not a tea: a completely new product that preserves the identity of the grape and the terroir in a light and accessible form for everyone.”
A product that conveys the essence of the vine in a modern way. Innovation, sustainability, and pleasure come together in a concept already making waves, even in newspapers like La Repubblica.

Our visit to Isola delle Falcole was the cherry on top of our Tuscan tour. Between glasses, conversations, and surprises, we returned home with full hearts and inspired minds.
