FRANCIACORTA - LOMBARDY, ITALY

NATURE AND INNOVATION
Founded in 2011 by Silvia and Federico Stefini, 1701 is much more than a winery, it’s a project that merges history, nature and innovation.
Purchased from the historic Conti Bettoni Cazzago family, the estate stretches over 11 hectares of morainic soils in Franciacorta, one of Italy’s most renowned regions for world-class sparkling wines.
With a deep commitment to biodynamic farming, 1701 became the first Franciacorta winery to be certified under these principles.
VIBRANT ENERGY
Producing 80’000 bottles per year, 1701 crafts its Franciacorta with a fully artisanal approach in the cellar: extended lees aging, zero dosage, and no added liqueur d’expédition.
The result? Clean, fresh, and vibrantly energetic wines that honestly express the character of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in these mineral-rich soils.
1701 is a perfect example of how biodynamics can enhance the authenticity of a remarkable terroir, turning every sip into a true discovery.
