VALTELLINA - LOMBARDY, ITALY

THE MAGIC OF NEBBIOLO
Marco Ferrari, originally from Brescia, is a charismatic and unconventional winemaker who has followed a unique and fascinating path in the world of wine.
After working in Franciacorta and spending a long period in Cornas, in the Rhône Valley, Marco collaborated with legends such as Frank Balthazar, Thierry Allemand, and Guillaume Gilles, milestones in the history of Cornas Syrah.
In 2018, drawn by the magic of Nebbiolo, he moved to Valtellina, where he began collaborating with ARPEPE.
HIS WINES
In 2021, Marco released his first wine under his own name: a Rosso di Valtellina, followed by a Valtellina Superiore Sassella and an Inferno.
With 2.5 hectares of terraced vineyards, Marco produces about 9,000 bottles per year, using spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and a very minimal use of sulfites (<20–22 mg/l).
Marco Ferrari’s interpretation of Valtellina Nebbiolo is vertical, vibrant, and true to its territory, but with a vision that always looks to the future.
