VAL D’ORCIA - TUSCANY, ITALY

Bordeaux Varieties in Tuscany
Tenuta di Trinoro, located in the remote Val d’Orcia, was born from the vision of Andrea Franchetti, a pioneer who brought a piece of Bordeaux to Tuscany.
In the 1980s, he purchased the estate and, captivated by the territory, began planting Bordeaux grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The clay-limestone and gravelly soils of Trinoro, similar to those in Saint-Émilion, revealed extraordinary potential. The estate, with 25 hectares farmed according to organic principles, produces around 120.000 bottles annually.
Its Wines
The wines of Tenuta di Trinoro are bold and complex, designed for long aging and express the uniqueness of this Tuscan terroir.
Today, led by Benjamin Franchetti, Andrea’s son, the winery continues to innovate while honoring the founder’s philosophy: attention to detail, respect for the land and dedication to quality.
Each bottle is a journey into Andrea’s bold vision and the magic of Val d’Orcia.
