BOLGHERI - TUSCANY, ITALY

TENUTA FRATINI

Founded in 2016, the estate was born from the passion of the Fratini family, already well established in the region with Tenuta Argentiera. The project focuses on enhancing high-altitude hillside vineyards through an approach that combines respect for tradition with a contemporary vision.

The property extends over more than 1,300 hectares in the Colline Metallifere, within the Bolgheri DOC, with 28 hectares under vine ranging from 80 to 235 meters above sea level. Complex soils, diverse microclimates, and varied exposures form the foundation of a viticulture and winemaking philosophy strongly driven by a site-specific approach.

pied de cuve

Fermentations with indigenous yeasts, along with precise techniques such as pied de cuve, help to fully express the identity of the terroir, with a focus on elegance, authenticity, and ageing potential.

The winemaking direction is entrusted to Eric Boissenot, a leading consultant to prestigious Bordeaux châteaux such as Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Margaux, and Mouton Rothschild, who guides the project with a rigorous and distinctive style.
