1. Order Confirmation and Validity

All orders are subject to internal verification by Chronos Wine Cellar and become binding only after written confirmation. Product availability may vary depending on stock and allocations received. Automatically generated confirmations do not constitute final acceptance or a guarantee of delivery. Chronos reserves the right to refuse orders at its discretion, without obligation to provide justification.

2. Prices, Payment Terms and Bank Fees

All prices are expressed in Swiss Francs (CHF), excluding VAT, and per unit. Any discount or special condition must be agreed in writing. Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice and must in any case be made no later than 30 days from the date of the invoice or pro forma. Chronos strongly recommends making payment within 1–2 days of order confirmation to ensure prompt processing and delivery. In case of delay, Chronos reserves the right to apply late payment interest. All costs related to bank fees, currency conversions, or other financial charges are borne exclusively by the buyer.

3. Delivery, Shipping and Collection

Deliveries within Switzerland are handled by Planzer courier. Shipping costs vary according to the courier’s current rates. For a precise quote, we recommend contacting the Chronos team before order confirmation. Goods may also be collected free of charge at our Lugano office, by prior appointment. International shipments are calculated on a case-by-case basis. Upon explicit request by the customer, shipping can be insured for an additional fee communicated in advance. If goods ready for delivery or collection are not collected within 60 days of the availability notice, Chronos reserves the right to apply storage charges.

4. Ownership and Cancellations

Goods remain the exclusive property of Chronos Wine Cellar until full payment of the related invoice. In the event of cancellation of a confirmed but unpaid order, Chronos may, at its discretion, apply a penalty equal to 25% of the total order value, to cover management and reservation costs.

5. Legal Requirements for the Purchase of Alcohol

The buyer confirms that they have reached the legal age required in their Canton or Country of residence to purchase alcoholic beverages. Chronos reserves the right to request proof and to cancel the order in case of false statements or violations of the law.

6. Claims, Returns and Replacement Conditions

Any defects or claims must be reported in writing within 7 working days of receipt of the goods. In accordance with Swiss law, replacement is only provided for wines bottled in Switzerland. In such cases, the product will be replaced with the same wine, if available, or with a wine of equivalent value – at Chronos’ discretion. For wines bottled abroad, each case will be assessed individually, without guarantee of replacement. To proceed with a return, the bottle must be returned with the original cork and contain at least 90% of the original content. Returns without original packaging or not pre-authorized will not be accepted.

7. Warranty, Limitation and Exclusion of Liability

Chronos guarantees that delivered products comply with the order and are free from visible defects at the time of delivery. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper transport, inadequate storage, misuse, or alterations by the buyer. Chronos is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, business interruptions, or additional costs incurred by the buyer. The warranty expires if the recommended storage conditions are not respected.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by Swiss law. For any dispute relating to the sale, delivery, or interpretation of these conditions, the competent court is Lugano (CH).
